The assessment

Projectfusion is a UK virtual data room operated by OD Consultancy Limited from Discovery Park in Sandwich, Kent. The trading entity has been registered since 1997 and the company dates its first data room, built for a City law firm, to 2001.

Its entire positioning is data sovereignty, and it is more specific about it than anyone else here. UK-only hosting is offered as a named option for government and regulated buyers, alongside EU and custom setups, and the company states plainly that it has no US ownership, no US legal exposure and no hidden subprocessors. Its ISO 27001 certification is stated to cover both the organisation and the hosting, which is a meaningfully stronger claim than the data-centre-only scoping several larger vendors rely on.

It also holds Cyber Essentials and carries out BS7858 staff vetting, the combination UK public sector procurement actually looks for. The commercial presentation is weaker: the tier structure is published but the figures are rendered in JavaScript and could not be extracted reliably, so we do not quote a price.

Our verdict

The most credible answer on this table if your requirement is that the documents stay in the UK and that no US entity sits anywhere in the chain. For UK public sector work the combination of UK-only hosting, Cyber Essentials and BS7858 vetting is close to purpose-built. Go in knowing it is a small vendor: ask for the ISO 27001 certificate with its scope statement, get the price in writing since the site will not give you one cleanly, and expect to justify the choice if your counterparty's advisers are expecting Datasite.

UK presence, checked

OD Consultancy Limited, company number 03389226, active, incorporated 19 June 1997, at Innovation Way, Discovery Park, Sandwich, Kent CT13 9FF.

Strengths

  • One of very few vendors offering genuinely UK-only hosting alongside Cyber Essentials certification
  • ISO 27001 stated to cover both the organisation and the hosting, not just a data centre
  • BS7858 staff vetting, which is a recognised signal in UK public sector procurement
  • Explicit positioning against US ownership, US legal exposure and undisclosed subprocessors
  • A pay-when-live model with free preparation, and a trading entity dating to 1997

Limitations

  • A very small vendor with brand recognition far below the incumbents in banker-led processes
  • The published prices are rendered in JavaScript and could not be extracted, so genuine comparison is difficult
  • Marketing claims such as zero security breaches in over twenty years and three-minute support are unaudited
  • Storage allowances start at 500MB on the entry tier

Pricing, hosting and certification

Pricing

The tier structure is published, covering Small Deal at 500MB, Deal at 5GB, Business at 10GB and Enterprise at 50GB, each with unlimited administrators and users and one data room, on a monthly, quarterly or annual toggle. The figures themselves are rendered in JavaScript and could not be reliably extracted, and a price string found in their page source appears only inside commented-out HTML, so we do not publish a number. They state that you pay only when the deal goes live and preparation is free.

✗ No price published

Data residency

UK-only hosting is offered for government and regulated industries, alongside EU options and custom global setups. They state explicitly that there is no US ownership or legal exposure and no hidden subprocessors.

What we could not confirm

Published openly, because a gap in the evidence is information too. Anything listed here could not be verified from a primary source, so we have not scored Projectfusion as though it were true.

  • Exact per-tier prices. These are rendered in JavaScript and were not extractable, and a price string in the page source appears only inside commented-out HTML, so we do not publish it
  • Free trial length
  • Cyber Essentials is a self-declared claim and has not been independently confirmed against the IASME register
  • Marketing claims including zero security breaches in over twenty years
