The assessment
Admincontrol is a Norwegian provider of board portal and virtual data room software, founded in 2005 and headquartered in Oslo. It is now part of Euronext Corporate Solutions and operates seven offices across the Nordics, the UK and France, including London and Glasgow.
It is one of very few virtual data room vendors that publishes list pricing at all, and the only one on this table that publishes it in pounds. The Preparation Portal is £250 per month with unlimited storage for the sell side, and the live data room starts at £685 per month. The catch is in the allowance: 500MB is included and everything above it is billed at £0.90 per MB, which on a document-heavy process is where the real cost appears.
On credentials it is strong. ISO/IEC 27001:2022, SOC 2 Type II, Cyber Essentials Plus and a G-Cloud 14 listing, backed by a public sub-processor register that names the exact data centres. That register is also what reveals the gap: the storage locations are Oslo and EU Azure regions, with no UK option anywhere.
The clearest illustration on this table that a UK office and a UK certification are not the same thing as UK data residency. If your requirement is Cyber Essentials Plus and a G-Cloud route to market, Admincontrol is one of the very few credible answers and it will quote you in pounds. If your requirement is that the documents stay in the UK, it cannot meet it, and no amount of Glasgow office will change that. Watch the £0.90 per MB overage: on a real diligence set that number moves fast.

What we could not confirm
Published openly, because a gap in the evidence is information too. Anything listed here could not be verified from a primary source, so we have not scored Admincontrol as though it were true.
- Their Cyber Essentials Plus claim contradicts itself on their own G-Cloud 14 listing: the certification field is ticked yes, while the free text on the same listing says they are currently going through Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation. The governance field on that listing is also stale, referring to ISO 27001:2022 certification being completed within Q1 2018. Treat the CE Plus claim with caution and ask for the certificate
- G-Cloud listings are hosted by government but the certification fields are supplier self-declared. The Government Digital Service does not verify them
- Free trial: their G-Cloud listing states no free trial and none is advertised on their site
